Odds On Casino Guide: Good and Bad
A year ago Odds On was one of the most respected software
providers in the online casino industry. But last year one of their licensees,
Forty Plus Casino, closed while still owing players money. Odds On decided to
take a hands of approach and plead ignorance. They said they had no access to
the records of players accounts and they had no warning of the casino closing.
This is very, very unlikely. The software providers receive a percentage of
the money the casino generates and to think they wouldn't have had access to
the records at all times is ridiculous. After months of pressure from players
they finally agreed to pay the players owed and gave them a week to email Odds
On. Why the players had only a week and why Odds On didn't email all the
players and let them know is further cause for concern.
It is very important that software providers, first of all,
screen licensees carefully and, secondly, provide some kind of a backup in
case the casino closes. This is crucial because there is very little
regulation, if any, by any government or regulating organization. Most
licensing jurisdictions just rubber stamp approval and there is no security -
you pay, you get approved. In this kind of an atmosphere it is crucial that
the software providers be more accountable. Some have, but Odds On has chosen
not to. After months of pressure they finally paid some of the players but
that isn't good enough. It is suggested that players be very cautious with
Odds On casinos or just avoid them entirely.

EH Ventures
- It's hard to say which category to put these casinos in. On one
hand, they have had a very good reputation for dealing with players. On
the other hand, they are almost certainly owned by Odds On behind the
scenes and Odds On has recently shown to be untrustworthy. It is hard to
completely condemn these casinos but it is hard to overlook the problems
Odds On has had. In the end, players should decide for themselves if
they want to play at Odds On casinos or not.
