Scientific Games is at it again, having successfully obtained a
five-year contract with the Maryland Lottery after a highly competitive
bid process to supply a new line of lottery management products, online
services and lottery sales.
Worth over $80 million, the contract will begin in June of 2005, with
an optional five year extension of the time of termination. Over
the next five years, Scientific Games will be supplying and operating
the Maryland lottery behind the scenes, including such services as
telemarketing, and technical support for the 4,000+ lottery terminals
the company will be installing throughout various business areas in the

Scientific Games is no stranger to the Maryland Lottery. The
company had originally signed a ten-year contract with the state in

in the coming years.
