Odds on Woods and Wie to Win all Four Major 2006 Golf Events

It is no surprise to many online sports bettors that Tiger Woods is considered to be the overall favorite for the 2006 PGA Tour.  Not as expected, but still a little obvious, is that Michelle Wie is being ranked up their with the likes of Woods.  Wie, who is on the LPGA Tour, has not won a major event as of yet.  However, most are predicting that she will become the type of force that Woods has become for the PGA.

Leading online casinos and sportsbooks like Sportsbook.com released odds on the upcoming professional golf season, giving both of these players the best chances of winning some major events.  The odds on Wie that she will not win one of the four major LPGA events in 2006 are 1 to 2, while odds of 9 to 5 are predicting that she will at least obtain one tournament victory this upcoming year.  Not a spectacularly long shot, but one that doesn't quite seem worth the payoff, are 50 to 1 odds that Wie will win all four major events.

As for Woods, the odds on him winning all of the four major PGA tournaments are 35 to 1.  For most online sports bettors, it is not a question of will Tiger win a major event, but rather, which one.  There is a good chance he can take home all the major events this year, which some bettors are already putting their futures bets on.
