Casino Employees Leave for Competitor
It's going to be a hard month for several Blue Lake Casino employees,
as they struggle with the abrupt delivery of pink slips, after giving a generous
notice that they would be leaving to work for Blue Lake’ competitor, Bear River
Casino.
Joe Claus, Bear
River’s Table Games Manager, had recommended that his future employees be
professionally courteous, and supply a full month of notice before they left
Blue Lake Casino. Nickie Reesman, and the other employees, then were coerced
into submitting a written statement of notice by Blue Lake managers, and then
subsequently fired the next day, not able to work the rest of the month as they
had planned.
The real concern
for workers is the fact that they will not be able to start being payed by Bear
River until a month after they open on August 10th. Blue lake then
pours salt into Der Xiong and others wounds after making the decision to not pay
them they’re final pay checks until the following pay cycle.
Blue Lake Casino claims
that the employees open decision to leave and work for they’re competitor was
provoking too much of an internal disturbance to keep them on for the
duration of their notice. No news as of yet, whether or not Blue Lake’s curt
treatment of they’re former employees has caused any more internal
“disturbance.”
